The Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) is the largest hunting bird of prey inhabiting the Valencian Community. Its impressive body and sharp talons make even the most seasoned photographer's heart race.
The hide is located in a mountainous area inland from Valencia, at an altitude of 1000m. It is built to comfortably accommodate up to 5 photographers. Its location allows for flights with a good backdrop of forest, rather than against the sky, without startling the birds with lens movement thanks to its one-way mirror.
As an added bonus, and to make the waits less long, there is a feeder for small birds, such as the Western Black-eared Wheatear (Oenanthe hispanica), Iberian Grey Shrike (Lanius meridionalis), Dartford Warbler (Sylvia undata), and others.
